Unit Development Steps and Resources
I taught Life Science at the HS level for 20 years and still identify as a science teacher. After working in Fairfax County VA for 10 years - first at R.E. Lee and then at Thomas Jefferson HS for Science and Technology, I went overseas to teach Biology, IB Biology, AP Biology and various other science courses in Ecuador, Myanmar and Oman respectively. Currently I work with overseas schools and overseas teachers, primarily from American International Schools around the world, helping them implement the awesome new Next Generation Science Standards. I also work with the non-profit Achieve organisation, authors of the NGSS, on their Science Peer Review Panel vetting units and lessons for alignment to the NGSS.
